Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 8, 2025
We respect your privacy. Most UIXColors tools run entirely in your browser — your data never leaves your device. Here's exactly what we do and don't collect.
We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous usage stats. Most tools run fully in your browser. The Style Guide and Image Downloader proxy your URLs through our servers but we don't store them. We use localStorage for saving your palettes. No accounts, no PII, no ads, no data selling.
UIXColors is designed with privacy at its core. The vast majority of our tools — the Color Playground, Color Converter, Contrast Checker, Gradient Maker, Palette Extractor, and QR Code Generator — run entirely in your browser. No data is sent to our servers; no data is stored anywhere except optionally on your own device via localStorage.
We collect minimal, anonymized analytics through Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the service. We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII), we do not sell data, and we do not use advertising trackers.
We collect only the following information:
- Vercel Analytics: Anonymized, aggregate page-view and performance data collected by Vercel Analytics. This includes general information like page paths, referrer headers, country-level location, and device type. It does not include your IP address or any personal identifier.
- Browser localStorage: If you save color palettes or preferences in the Color Playground, that data is stored in your browser's localStorage. It stays on your device entirely and is never transmitted to our servers.
We do not collect names, email addresses, passwords, payment information, or any other PII.
The limited analytics data we collect is used solely to:
- Understand which tools and pages are most used so we can prioritize improvements
- Monitor performance and reliability of the service
- Identify and fix bugs or usability issues
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties. We do not combine analytics data with any personal information.
UIXColors does not operate a database of user data. There is no user account system, no server-side session storage, and no persistent server-side records tied to you.
If you use the Color Playground's save feature, your palettes are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data:
- Stays entirely on your device
- Is never transmitted to UIXColors servers
- Can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data
The Site Style Guide and Image Downloader tools require our servers to fetch the HTML and assets of the URL you provide, because browsers cannot directly fetch cross-origin resources. When you use these tools:
- The URL you enter is sent to our server-side proxy to retrieve the page content
- The fetched content is processed and returned to your browser in real time
- We do not log, store, or retain the URLs you submit or any of the fetched content
- Requests are not associated with any personal identifier
Please only use these tools on websites you own or have permission to inspect.
UIXColors uses only essential technical cookies required for the service to function. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or any cookie that identifies you personally.
Vercel Analytics uses a privacy-preserving approach that does not rely on cookies to identify visitors. Instead it uses anonymized, aggregated signals that cannot be used to track individuals across sites.
UIXColors uses the following third-party services:
UIXColors is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of UIXColors after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
If you have questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or how your information is handled, please reach out through our GitHub repository. We're happy to clarify anything and take privacy concerns seriously.
