Error correction allows a QR code to be read even if part of it is damaged or covered. Level L recovers up to 7% damage, M recovers 15%, Q recovers 25%, and H recovers 30%. Use Level H when adding a logo (the logo covers part of the code). Use Level M or L for plain QR codes without logos — lower levels produce less dense codes that scan faster and from farther away.

Level H error correction recovers up to 30% of a damaged code, but spending all of that budget on a logo is asking for trouble. So the slider here runs from 8% to 20% of the code width, and the renderer holds the same ceiling — even at maximum you stay inside the safe margin. Use Level H whenever you add a logo, and still test the finished code with a couple of scanner apps before printing, especially if it will be printed small.

Download PNG for digital use on websites, apps, social media, and email. Use 512×512 or 1024×1024 PNG for screens. The 2048×2048 PNG is suitable for large-format prints if SVG is not supported by your production tool.

Scanning distance depends on physical print size, contrast, and code density. A QR code printed at 2.5cm can be scanned from about 20cm; at 10cm it scans from about 80cm. Higher contrast (dark on light) enables scanning from farther away than colored versions. Lower error correction levels (L) produce less dense patterns that are easier to scan at distance. For posters, print the code at least 4–5cm with high contrast.

Yes, as long as the contrast ratio between the QR modules and background is at least 3:1 (ideally higher). Dark modules on a light background scan most reliably. Avoid light-colored QR modules on white or very light backgrounds. Inverted codes (light on dark) can work but may not scan with all apps. Always scan-test your design before committing to print.

Static QR codes encode the data directly: the content is fixed and cannot change once printed. A dynamic code encodes a short redirect link instead, so the destination can be changed without reprinting anything.
